Asset management company receives observer status in the international BAMIN network

"Returned Asset Management Company" LLP (Management Company) is actively developing international cooperation. One of the main steps on this path was obtaining observer status in the international network BAMIN (Balkan Asset Management Interagency Network), which opens up new prospects for the company and the country as a whole.

BAMIN is a unique platform that brings together asset management professionals from different countries, helping them to exchange experiences and jointly search for solutions for effective asset management and recovery. In May 2024, at the BAMIN Steering Committee meeting in Skopje (North Macedonia), Kazakhstan was admitted to the network as an observer, which was an important step for the management company. This event not only demonstrates the company's recognition in the international arena, but also its desire to meet global standards.

Joining BAMIN will provide the management company with access to international initiatives, best practices and experts working on complex asset management issues, especially in the context of cross-border crime and corruption. At the BAMIN annual meeting, held in Ohrid, North Macedonia in September 2024, representatives of the management company participated in the discussion of global best practices and new approaches in asset management. At the invitation of the organizers, the management company was presented at the event by Medet Bitabarov, Deputy Director of the Asset Management Department. The meeting brought together representatives of national asset management offices to discuss best practices, cross-border cooperation and improve mechanisms for managing confiscated assets.

International cooperation is the key to success in such a complex and diverse field as asset management. It is important not only to have national expertise, but also to be part of a global community where you can learn from others, share knowledge and jointly solve problems facing many countries. Therefore, it is strategically important for a management company to establish and develop relationships with leading global organizations.

Cooperation with international institutions such as the World Bank and the UN (Stolen Asset Recovery Initiative), the OSCE and similar organizations in Europe, within the framework of the StAR program, will help the company to implement effective mechanisms for managing confiscated and returned assets. This is not only a way to improve internal processes, but also a real opportunity to improve the economic stability of the country, return stolen assets to the economy and fight crime at the international level.

Thus, participation in BAMIN and other international initiatives not only enhances the reputation of the management company, but also increases its opportunities in the global arena. This is a way to increase trust, increase transparency and introduce advanced technologies and standards in working with assets. The Company for the management of returned assets not only follows global trends, but also actively seeks to shape these trends, establishing strong ties with international partners and experts.
